Yes you can use any golf ball with Square Golf, Although if you use the dotted golf balls provided in the box, more precise ball data can be achieved.
How many golf courses come with the software?
Straight out of the box you can choose from 10 golf courses, each meticulously recreated with high-quality 3D graphics. Another 10 are currently being created and will be available soon.
There is no annual membership fee to use the range and practice areas. Your Square comes with 1000 credits and it "costs" 1 credit to play a hole per person. How do you place the ball and take a shot?
Ball Placement:
Place the ball in the designated hitting zone (15cm x 15cm area) as specified.
The LED will blink blue while searching for the ball and turn green when the ball is ready.

Once the LED turns green, you can perform the shot.
Minimum ball speed for shot detection is 3.4 mph for regular shots and 1.1 mph for putting.
How do you apply the club marker and what data does it provide?
The club marker should be attached to the golf club 20cm from the floor when the club is upright. This marker enables the monitor to measure:

Face angle (when using the virtual shot mode)
Even without the club marker, the monitor can measure speed, direction, and spin data of the golf ball.
How do you take a virtual shot with the swing stick?
Virtual Shot Setup:
Place the ball in the stick zone.
The LED will blink blue while searching for the ball and turn green when ready.
Point the swing stick at the ball, and after a 1-second pause, the LED will turn green indicating shot readiness.

Perform the shot using the swing stick.
The monitor will process the data and simulate the shot based on the speed, path, and face angle of the swing stick.
What shot data can be measured and what are the ranges?
The Square Golf Launch Monitor can measure the following shot data:
Speed: 3.4 to 201.3 mph (for shots) and 1.1 to 17.9 mph (for putting)

Side Spin: -7,000 to 7,000 rpm
Path Angle: -30.0° to 30.0°
Attack Angle: -30.0° to 20.0°
Using a patterned golf ball and club marker can enhance the accuracy of these measurements. For virtual shots, the data is estimated based on the swing stick’s speed, path, and face angle.
